I would like to encourage others to display their photos

I have submitted two shots to an American Online Studio, www.picture.com and have had one accepted and printed in a gallery book and another accepted for print next year. My photos have been printed, apparently but they request large bucks to become a member or display them at their frequent Portfolio Exhibitions.

Although these are royalty free you can submit photos to connected sites for commercial use at a percentage fee, though I have not yet succeeded here I consider it worth a try. I have also submitted shots to www.photographymonthly.com for display on their readers show page.

Kit Change - My latest camera is a the Sony A900

24 Megapixel with 3” LCD screen (900k pixels I think) - loads of detail and lots of gadgety things too

All manner of program, AF and manual modes and ISO up to 6400 - scary stuff

I have kept my Sigma 70 - 300 DL Macro Lens off my old Minolta as it is the same bayonet

I have purchased a 16GB CF card as the 4 GB CF card only holds about 85 shots at maximum resolution as RAW + JPEG so I can use shots immediately if I want/need to and leave the RAW shots for manipulation if needed

I have a HVL-F56AM Flashgun to complement the camera fullly automatic capability with a good recharge time and full manual control if required

I am using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.1 for RAW and JPEG photo manipulation and PhotoPlus (Serif) and/or PhotoImpact SE for general editing

All I can say now is enjoy my site - please - and comment if you feel inclined

I am trying to continually improve the site look, feel and content so I hope to keep people interested
